The searching of an appropiate movie could be a bit time consuming but there is an amazing blog in which we can find numerous movie segments already classified according to the topic practiced. Besides, there are some worksheets with activities that teachers can carry out with each segment. If you explore the blog, you will realize that you can download the videos as well as the worksheets. These segments are meant to use for assessing different grammar rules but as we said before teacher can also adapt and use them in other stages of their lessons.

Internet Radio UK is a web site which allows us to listen to radio stations from different regions of the United Kingdom. 
Teachers can use this tool in order to give  students the opportunity to listen to a real context audio.
Although you can choose between several stations from UK, you can also have access to stations from other countries in the world.


The site's interface is nice and easy to use; a good point is that you can choose the radio station through an icon or their the numerical frequency.

This is an interesting site in which you can find news about international events. You will be informed about news, and at the same time, you can listen to the articles either in British or in American English. This site is part of a program called "Screen Actor Guild Foundation" in which different actors read famous stories. Besides, you can download written activities connected them. This material can be used in an English class as a useful listening activity. Besides, this site has an attractive interface which is easy to manage.
A great advantage of the videos is that they have subtitles, which can help students to follow the narration. A disadvantage is that despite the fact that you can easily download the videos from youtube, you won't get the subtitles.

It is a free online platform where students can express themselves using their voice instead of text, which is quite boring. Every unique voice stamp is called a croak on the platform.
Croaks have a wide variety of uses, depending on the user! From personal messages to picture tagging to holidays wishes, a croak can allow your students to make it much personal than a text box and 26 letters. The most awesome feature being you can croak anywhere on the internet!

This is a website especialized in the creation of tools and services that enable users to easily find, create, distribute, promote and listen to both audio and video podcasts.


What is a Podcast?

It is a type of digital media consisting of an episodic series of audio radio, video, among others, suscribed to and downloaded through web syndication or streamed online to a computer or mobile device.

An outstanding point is that podcasts are classified into different topics such as education, arts, comedy, and many others. You can use podscasts to work with a specific topic, to check listening comprehension and later on you can ask your students to make their own podcast! They can work alone or in groups.

LYRICS TRAINING

In this page you can find a fun way to develop listening skills through entertaining lyrics with exercises, in which students listen to the song, watch the video and fill in the blanks with a few words, several words or the whole song, depending on their level. We find this very interesting because it can please different likes and each student can choose videos of their favourite singers. Alternatively, students can sing along in the Karaoke mode!

This is a tool oriented to students and teachers. Voxopop allows you to create talkgroups which can be used for practising and learning a language. Although it is organized like a chat room, it uses voice messages instead of text.
The advantage of this site is that teachers can create a room for their students, where students can send messages to their partners. A disadvantage is that the messages can't be sent in real-time and it can be a bit boring because students have to record any message that they want to deliver first.

NURSERY SONGS AND RHYMES


In the BBC free webpage teachers can find different sources to practice listening and speaking skills. There is a vast amount of listening for all ages and levels.
We found  the "nursery songs and rhymes" particularly interesting. They are within the section called "School Radio". There teachers can find audio resources for primary schools from "Listen and Play" and "Playtime", both of which provide podcasts available for download.
These songs are excellent to motivate young learners to learn vocabulary about numbers, animals, and healthy habits, among others. Futhermore, each song has video that students can watch and enjoy. You can also print the lyrics!
